Wildgoose Construction Ltd is working in partnership with The Environment Trust, Sheffield City Council & Norfolk Park Community Forum to build 47 new Green Homes at Norfolk Park, Sheffield at a contract value of £5.2 million.

All homes have a magnificent view over Sheffield, are grouped around a village green and handily located on the Supertram route. The Norfolk Park scheme is the latest of the Environment Trust's Green Homes developements. It encapsulates all key innovations that define a Green Home and has been designed for great living.

The development will transform a disused brownfield mining site close to the town centre into affordable housing for local people, built to exceed the BRE's ECO Homes "Excellent" rating. The Environment Trust believes that there is no better location in South Yorkshire, and no better way to realise this scheme for community benefit.

Design features include a solar paneled roof to pre heat water and spray taps that cut down consumption. Under floor heating and a slow mechanical extraction system draws air from the building at a slower rate, which creates a greater thermal efficiency.
