The new build Salvation Army Hall was built on the footprint of the previous structure and is contained on a highly confined site in the City centre.
The impressive single storey, steel framed structure, sits on load bearing masonry and was designed to accommodate an internal provision for a future first floor.
Following the demolition of the of the outdated existing Salvation Army building, a 3 month archeological dig ensued, uncovering a medieval wall which had lain undisturbed for hundreds of years.
The new building incorporates a traditionally cut timber roof, has provision for a congregation of 250 and includes 4 general purpose rooms and a large and impressive foyer area.
